3400RL Computer Chair
I am just curious as to what other 3400RL owners do with their computer chair while driving down the road. I have left mine at the desk standing upright for the past 1.5 years now, but had a friend that came over and was telling me about how their chair fell over and hit the tv and fireplace. They did not have a Montana but a similar floorplan. Now I am worried. Any thoughts? Thanks

We put it upside down on the couch and strap in down with one of the tie down straps. Didn't want to take a chance to just leave it at the desk (although sounds like that works too). When traveling we use the space under the desk to store the end table protected by cushions on each side of it

We lay ours down on the right side with the seat under the desk.

Our chair has never turned over, but anything is possible. We have traveled to Alaska, California, South Texas,Florida, and Goshen, Indiana and all points in between-- over 30,000 miles. We made the mistake of strapping down the recliners too tight and damaged the fabric on two arm rest. After that, we will just take our chances with the chairs. The computer chair has never moved.

Don't have the computer desk but the 2 chairs at the dining table ride fine. We have seat pads (that tie to the back) I lift them up and tuck them between the back of the chair and the table. Push the chairs tight against the table with all 4 legs still on the floor.
With the two recliners I just turn them back to back and pull them up tight so they don't rock. Leave about 8" space from rear wall and end up with better than 12" on each side. This also leaves about 12" on the floor between the chair backs for the end table.

Thanks for all the input. I am thinking that I might just start laying it down to the right like nkwist. I have my sofa table strapped to the sofa so that is out of the question but another good idea. Thanks again =)

We pushed ours under the desk. We have the storage seat full and these chairs are heavy so didn't think it would move. It didn't. If I have to lay it down, I will have to find someplace else to store all the stuff under the seat. If it is under the desk, it can't move to the side.
Happy trails......................

We swapped the recliners and the sofa 6 months ago, and we don't tie anything down anymore. We take the drawer out of the little table, and set the lamp on one of the recliners, tip the computer chair onto it's right side and we're off. Nothing has moved in thousands of miles. It sure was a pain strapping the dining room chairs and the recliners, etc., but it's not necessary (and we've been on some pretty bumpy roads.)

Ours stays at the desk also. Never had a problem yet. But we have a top drawer that we have to have fixed as it is off the track or something. It keeps coming out. Other then that we haven't had a problem. Kathi

Montana Sky:
Ours stays at the desk, shoved under it and to this date we have not had a problem with it moving in transit. Guess we will continue to leave it upright at the desk so long as we don't have any problems.
Good luck with your decision.

Ours goes on the couch next to the coffee table, like it came from the factory. But can't store anything in the chair because of always turning upside down for storeage on couch.
