Cable TV

OK. What's the deal with getting cable TV to work ? I have never been able to get my (factory installed) TV to work when connected to cable at any park. I get one or two channels and the rest are static . I am using RG6 cable, but obviously something is wrong either with how I am connecting or the equipment. Never had any problems with my old trailer.

Any advice?

Check all your cable connections for tightness in your trailer. I found mine were loose in the convenience center and we were receiving poor reception.

Make sure your air antenna booster is off and you ran the programming on the tv menu

As noted, make sure the antenna booster is off. Should be a wall plate somewhere, likely in a closet, with a very small push button and a light that will be on when the the booster is on. Toggle the push button to turn it on and off.

With the booster off, you will need to go into your TV menu, select CABLE, and run a channel scan. When using the antenna for over the air channels you need to have the booster (light) on. Then go into the menu, select AIR, and run a channel scan.

Usually in the bedroom combined with a tv coax connection. Small button, needs to be on with air only, off for everything else. Small light activates when on.

It'll look something like this. The little black button turns it on and off.

Thanks I have something like that in the basement. 12 volt, 110 outlet and coax cable input. BTW I have 3 cable/sat coax in the convenience center.

On my rig, the booster switch is behind the bedroom tv.
