Quick, Get That Moth!

For the last few nights, my wife is reading in bed with the light on. After a while, moths are in coming somehow and flying around the light. I have to get out of bed and go on a hunting mission. We turn off the light and go to bed. Anyone else have this issue? Are they coming in through the slide? I make sure the slide is out as to its limit.

Leave the light on and go outside and look for the light.

We are infested with them this time of year. You'd be amazed at the tiny cracks and crevasses they can get through.

Besides, the lights that come on when you open the door draw a few hundred in who just perch and wait till later to show themselves. Changing to all LED's has helped us a lot.

I read that this is going to be a banner year for them. Get yourself a "dustbuster" type of handheld vaccum and use that to collect them. Smushing them just makes a mess.
2 more months and they'll be gone. Swallows love to eat them. Entertainment at intersections!

A few years ago we had a moth problem and discovered there were moth eggs in an older cereal box. Took quite an effort to remove all the moths. I recommend that you check food boxes, etc.

Which is worse, stink bugs, moths or lady bugs? We've killed over 300 stink bugs, that's right, 300 since last October. Think we have finally gotten them all.

Go to Wally World and find a gizmo called a Bug Zapper. Looks like a racquetball racket. Runs on two AA batteries and gives bugs an electrifying experience when you swat at them.

Well, at least we aren't the only ones. Talking to my wife, when we left AZ, there were moths there as well. Now I am wondering if it is the same moth variety and did we bring them with us? Hopefully after tonight it will be the last of those suckers!

The moths we have here are Miller Moths. Annoying but at least they don't bite!

They are hiding in your closet......ditto on the bug zapper racket. In the summer I walk thru the rig and hold up up close to the ceiling. You will be shocked how many times it will go off, kills them No-Seeum's. Course you gotta run the sweeper a little more lol lol
