Bedroom Slide
Noticed something today. The bedroom slide doesn't seem to seal even all the way around. The seals on the top corner in the front look like they barely touch the side of 5er when it's retracted. The bottom of the front edge seals up good. The back edge really squishes the seal tight from top to bottom.
I checked all the Lippert manuals online and they don't seem to have one for a hydraulic bedroom slide. Does anyone know if there is a tilt adjustment on each side that will bring that top corner in a bit more? Also, how to access and adjust? Everything is covered either by the bed or the covering underneath the slide. Unfortunately, I didn't notice this before my 90 day adjustment warranty was up. I like to know how everything is done anyway as I tend to work on everything myself whenever possible.
Also, if I was ever to need to, how do you manually retract this slide?
Thanks in advance,

To get the slide in manually, there should be info in the literature that came with the camper or a repair manual. I have "Livingston's" . Seems to be pretty good place to start. Everything is hydraulic so the fluid needs to flow for it to move either direction. Also once it is in position it uses the hydraulics to hold it in place.
To get to your adjustments for your slide... there are some things you can get to under the bed. You have to remove the plywood in the "under mattress" storage area.
Adjustments for the entire slide's, in and out, is not very difficult. It is making adjustments on the hydraulic cylinder's shaft.
Adjusting one side versus the other implies a slightly bent slide frame or maybe some loose bolts holding the slide's frame to the mechanical system. That will require removal of the outside bottom cover of the slide to get to those mounting bolts. At that point I don't know of a written procedure to fix the problem. I'm thinking, unless you are very mechanically minded, to consider taking it to a good dealer to get it fixed.
I hope it works out.

Thanks for your reply camper4. That does sound like a bunch o' work - especially pulling the outside cover part. I probably will put it on the "list" of things I find for the warranty fix trip sometime later this year. I might let them know about it now though so hopefully I don't have to deal with the 90 day adjustment issue. Guess we'll see how good my dealer is at that point eh? Thanks again, Greg

Unless they've changed the basic slide setup since 05 ... all adjustments can be done underneath the bed ... as stated, you'll have to pull the plywood out of the bed frame for access ... doing this, disconnects the bed struts, so you'll have to use a prop rod to hold the mattress up. Disregard info arrows in this photo, but it will give you an idea of what's under the bed and where the adjustments are.
