Shower caulking?
I am wondering if all our showers are caulked the same. In my shower the sides and door are caulked (silicone) where the brass frame meets the platic shower. The back walls are not caulked.
Since my shower leaks on the side next to the bath sink, I tried removing the old silcone and replacing it with new. Still leaks. The service tech came out and recaulked. Still leaks. I thought the water was getting to the floor between the shower and the bath sink through the bottom of the brass frame. (that's what it looks like when it's wet) but today I have a little parade of ants coming into the shower from the back wall (no silicone here) and I'm thinking maybe the water is going through there.
Has anyone put silicone all around the perimeter of the shower?
