Air mattress failure, AGAIN...

Our first air mattress for the sleeper sofa would go flat whenever the kids would sleep on it. I contacted Flair and they sent me a new one. We took the kids to the beach and used the new mattress for the first time. It worked great for the first 6 nights. After that it started deflating during the night. We don't leave it folded on the sofa when not in use. We store it in the drawer under the sofa. Just doesn't make any sense. Will be calling Flair again.

There is another post in a section above where they had something rubbing from the frame of the bed that caused a hole. You might look for something like that.

Multiple folks including us have had problems with those air mattresses, we bought a really nice one and only brought it out of storage when needed. Sofa metal foundation kept causing leaks. I noticed the sleeper coach in our new unit has a real mattress, which we have not yet tested out.

1retired06, we tested ours in the new one, to use the term "a real mattress" um..............not so much. But ours disappeared (both of them) and was replaced with a theater seating unit.

Got rid of the couch and the air mattress. Replaced with leather love seat and a air mattress that we place on the floor when needed. OEM stuff is poor quality.

After 6 nights in the trailer with the grandkids, I would have been tempted to poke a hole in the mattress as an excuse to come home!

We are ending our annual 9 day beach trip tomorrow. And yes, I am ready to go home. We will be home for 3 days then off to the Mid-Atlantic Rally. A busy three weeks.

Just so i can jinx myself, in the last year we've had both our 20+ year old girls sleeping on that air mattress (at different times) for at least 90 nights total w/o issue. We deflate and tuck it back in the bag thing at the end of the bed and fold it up along with the frame. They complain about the comfort but when given the choice of a tent outside, they tend to quiet down a bit. Now hopefully I've said enough to get it to pop so they'll spend less nights on it .
