Generator Question

Hi there, We have another "newbie" question. We picked up our new 2955RL on Thursday and we are working on getting it road ready. We purchased two Yamaha EU2000i and the parallel connection kit. We are wondering how people store these when they are travelling. Is it safe for them to sit in the front compartment with the batteries? Do we need to install some sort of tie-downs or build a storage box to keep them from sliding around? Not sure how they will bounce around in there if at all. Also, we have a 2 gallon gas container...where do you carry that? I was surprised to see that there is no way to fasten or tie cargo down in the front or main storage areas. Any helpful hints would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Janet

Stuff doesn't seem to move around much in either of the storage areas so the generators should be OK. You'll probably have to find a place in the bed of the truck for the gas can. You will probably find the storage areas will be so full that stuff can't move around.

I have two Honda 2000 in the front compartment along with my leveling boards and blocks. Things don't seem to move much, but I put a ratch strap to ensure they stay put. I carry the spare gas in a tool box in the back of the truck, don't want the extra gas in the Monty.

We also keep our generator in the front compartment but the gas can goes in the bed of the truck.

We also keep our in the front compartment, we use velcro straps on it.
We keep gas in the generator and a empty gas can in the front compartment.
If we think we will be using the generator more than just a couple hours
we will fill the gas can and put it in the truck bed.

I have a single,OLD, yamaha, carried in the front storage compartment. As pointed out it cannot move. There is so much other "stuuf" jammed around it the trailer would have to wheels to the sky for it to move.
I also use the sticky rubber antiskid matting and the whole floor is covered so stuff doesn't just wiggle about, it must be picked up.
