Very good advice Rich, I will have to do exactly what you said. The rep thing may help.

I took my trailer to the dealer today for inspection and I have to admit that I am very disappointed with Ford performance.
It takes a lot of foot to make this truck to move, if I don't accelerate heavily( about 20 turbo psi) the truck is barely moving.
I have to squeeze accelerator to have at least 35 psi to feel that the truck is picking up speed. After getting home my computer showed
drop in fuel economy from 13 mpg to 8.2 mpg with empty trailer, empty truck and only me as a driver. That really stink. Shame on Ford for
coming with this setup as a replacement for 6.0.

From your description it sounds like your truck was stuck in regeneration. This truck takes off like a rocket. Your truck has serious problems.

Jerzy,
You might want to make sure your Dealership has a Diesel Mechanic that is Ford Certified for your 08' truck. There is a shortage of good Certified Diesel Mechanics and alot of dealership stay backed up on service because they only have only 1 or no mech that is Certified. Flash uploads are very step specific and just because they said it was done, dosen't mean it was done right. If your dealership does not have a Certified Diesel Mechanic that is up to speed on your new 08', I would definitly find a dealership that does. I know I'm a Dodge owner now but I use to own a 03' F250 6.0l. There is also a ton of info on Truck specific Diesel forums out there, heres a good one... http://www.thedieselstop.com/

I realy would start looking for a dif dealer as this dealer either has not truck smarts or is pushing you out the door as you aren'y good enough ,,, to him,,, he wants more big rig people or all car people ,, a bigger dealer i suggest or go out of town to a dif dealer , but be careful on the lemon law , it has to be all in 1 state to count as i was in 2 states on a jeep as we had 25 days in FL and 20 Days in WI and jeep laughed at me , well they are getting it now ,, john

Thanks guys for the info. I am studying these forums on daily basis. I am planing short trip to the local campground,
which requires off road driving (ocean beach), after this trip I will decide what to do with my problem.
I will keep you posted. Again I have to say this forum is the best no nonsense information treasure chest.

Steve, I am doing this for years and never had a problem, but this will be first time with a current truck and
I don't have much of confidence with it. We will see. I let you know.
