Graduated College, Bought a Montana, Started a New Life!

Hey Guys,

My name is Kurt Hellmich. I am a new member to the Montana Forums and a new Montana Owner!! I fell in love with a 2018 3811MS and BOUGHT IT!!!! I graduated college, found an awesome geology job in southern New Mexico, bought an F250 turbo Lariat and HIT THE ROAD!! I work 7 days a week in the oil field and come home to my Montana everyday. I am still getting used to things on the road and my trailer. Id love to chat if you want to know anything about southern New Mexico or south Alabama where I am from.

Thanks,
Kurt

Welcome to the forum! We are currently at our summer home base in Kansas, but our winter home base is at The Ranch, an Escapee park in Lakewood, NM (just north of Carlsbad)

You are starting out like a lot of people here have longed to do for for decades. Congrats and enjoy your life. You aren’t going to live but once do what ever you enjoy doing.

Hey, welcome to the forum. My 3811ms has 4 tanks black, fresh, and 2 grey tanks. Like yours they are not labeled very well. I do not know a way of finding what switch activates what pad, under than testing the pads with a meter. But, from what I have found is, if it is cold enough to run one pad you should run them all. But, you might have a unique situation. When we are in extreme cold temperatures I keep the tanks closed and run the heat pads. We have been in -14° no problems.

F.Y.I. you have 4 tanks. There are 2 grey tanks. The showergoes to one and the kitchen goes to the other.
