Lightbulb 2005 Montana Microwave / Convention Combo

Hello,

I have a 2005 Montana with the Apollo 1/2 Time Micro/Convention combo. Its dead. I don't want to spend the money on another convection oven and I heard these are crap so dont want another Apollo. I know a lot of people just find something similar in size and replace it with a microwave. If anyone has done this can you give me a make and model microwave that worked well for you? If possible I don't want to have to modify anything, just a direct replacement. My trailer is permeant too.

I have a 2006 3400RL. Our Apollo combination went bad a couple of years ago. I was unable to find a replacement that would fit in the space above the stove. I contacted Apollo and purchased a new one. It has worked well since we purchased. So far so good and we are happy with the performance and that it was the same size as the old one.

Before ya go throwing it away you might want to pull it out and take the cover off and check the internal fuse. Ive fixed many a unit that folks where throwing out by simply changing the blown internal fuse..... sometimes the units are toast but many have been resurrected by changing out a 50 cent fuse.....

I did the same thing to fix mine. Took about an hour to remove, take the case off, replace the fuse, reassemble and install. I know this Apollo has a bad rap but ours has served us well for 11 years.

The Appllo in our 2007 died after about 5 yrs. But we often used the convection function and wanted that. So we also replaced it with another Apollo Half Time since it has a ducted fan to remove the hot air and blow it out of the cabinet enclosure.

I know some have reported just going to Walmart and buying a standard microwave that would fit the cabinet.
