hot water tank
2008 3465, my hotwater tank has a humming sound when it is heating, can't recall hearing it as loud before, switched to propane and humming stops,could this be the start of something bad. thanks brian

Mine did that too a while back, I think its the AC heating eliment. I'll be watching some of the replies with you for other answers.
I do know that my rod does not need replacing, its new about 5 months, and only 2 uses. it also has stoped making that noise.

I would drain it, clean it real good, replace the element, repace the Temp and Pressure valve, and the drain plug. It's time anyway. I overhauled mine before this trip, glad I did. (2007 3400RL)

X2. Buildup of crud on the element can cause that.
