Noisy Husky Hitch
Anyone had problems with Husky hitch making loud popping noise when accelerating or braking ? My hitch does this often. I suspect it is the yoke moving on the pin holding it but not sure. I have had the mount bolts to the frame and on the hitch checked twice and they are properly torqued.

When I changed TV I went with the Husky hitch. My previous hitch was a Reese. The Husky is noticably louder. Like you all my mounting bolts are properly torqued. I think it is just the nature of the beast. I do like the tow/manuver lock on the Husky over the Reese.

Thanks for the input. I just have a problem with the noises coming from the hitch. I am a pilot and unusual noises usually means something is not right. I have not heard of a Reese doing this

I have a pretty basic 16K Valley hitch for my very first 5er and it will clunk mostly on stops or after I just hitched up and am taking off, but it's not very loud unless I have the rear window open. Since I have checked torque and the jaws are wrapped round the pin and the release bar is in place, I am hoping this is just normal noise.
I do keep the pin and jaws lubricated and have used a teflon plate ever since we had the rig and I don't know if that would make a difference.
Over time I hope to recognize if things start to loosen up and make more noise.

I suspect that is slack in the hitch. My 16,000 # Valley makes noises due to play in the hitch.
