5-6-06 Saturday, were headed north to Winona, Minnesota, Praire Island CG right on the Mississippi RIver. Friends tell me, We don't even need to bring fishing poles. The Walleye are so pleantyful, they just jump in your boat as you approach them.. HA HA
Beautiful country up there and great people>>> I'll be blinking my lights if I see you.
Safe travels John H

No camping for us on Memorial Day. I have avoided that and July 4 for years due to the crowds. I tend to prefer campgrounds to be a little quieter.

We will be heading out the next weekend, however, for two weeks at Unicoi SP in the north Georgia mountains.

It is Lake Siskiyou for us, as well. We are glad it is not too far because of fuel prices but would pay it anyway for the great fun we are expecting to have and getting to meet some of the MOC owners we have not met before!

Pine Hill Campground in Krumsville, PA. Just outside of Allentown, PA. Will be visiting family in Reading and Kutztown and the Cabela's store which is just 10 minutes away. Also pigging out at the Shady Maple Smorgasbord near Blue Ball, Paradise and Intercourse, PA.
If you ever visit southeast Pennsylvania you absolutely have to visit the Shady Maple Smorgasbord for some of the greatest Penna Dutch Foods and also pay a visit to their farmers market.

Glenn & Lorraine, Just checked out the 2 sites in your last post. Shady Maple has quite an outstanding history. Wow. We are going to be at Pioneer Park in Somerset, PA. Is that anywhere near where you will be? It would be so cool to meet.

Wow is an understatement. Their buffet is beyond description.

Somerset is in western PA and we will be in eastern PA. Approximately 200 miles apart.

We hope to be in British Columbia at the park that fellow MOC'ers Les and Julie are work
camping. We will spend a few days with them on the next leg of our journey to Alaska.

The wife and I have the 36 footer already set up (for the season) at Whippoorwill Campground in Ocean City, NJ. We sure hope the ocean has warmed up by then!

MOC spring rally at Lake Siskiyou for us, too.

Glenn and Lorraine, you will be not far from Riegelsville, PA, where many of my ancestors lived after immigrating to this country.

I'll be at the overpriced and very crowded campground just outside Lowes Motor Speedway (NASCAR) in Charlotte, NC. I meet up with old military buddies every May. This will be our 8th consecutive year. Overpriced, but worth every penny. The first 4 years was camping in a tent, then 3 years in a Prowler TT. This will be the first year for the Montana. It's dry camping in a field (no power, no water... just dirt) and will be the first REAL workout for the Onan generator I had installed. I wouldn't miss it for the world.

We'll be at the Silver River State Park in Ocala. I just hope that we get some rain before then.
