Henry Horton Campground

Just checking to see if anyone has camped at Henry Horton State Park in Chapel Hill Tennessee. If so, can you provide any guidance on site selection. Thanks for any information you can provide. The online information is limited.

Knighton, I've camped there a couple of times and we're headed there New Years, what better way to bring in the New Year! If you reserve a site from the website you can click on each site and see a picture of it. Here's a link https://tnstateparks.itinio.com/henry-horton after you pick the date choose 'Next' and then you can click on the orange circles next to each available camp site.

Thanks a million Neal, the photos will be most helpful. Do you have a favorite site there? We are going in April for the Franklin Heritage Days.

Mike, my personal favorites are the outer sites on the end of the loop which are 15, 17, 18, 20, 22, 23, but others may have a different opinion. TV reception isn't the best so if you plan on any inside time you may want to bring some movies or Dish. The woods are thick so a dish is tricky to setup. If you like to hike be sure to look at the ruins of the old Mill, "Wilhoite Mill Trail". I love history myself, it's a short walk depending on where you start. http://www.everytrail.com/guide/wilh...ton-state-park

Thanks Neal. My friend and I reserved sites 20 and 22. Thanks for all the information. Will check out the trail, I love history also. Happy New Year and have a great time at the park.
