Fridge door not closing well

Our trailer has a four door R.V. fridge, a Dometic RM 1350. I have the manual. The left door has a long flap like attachment. You close the left door first, then the right.

We came home from Florida two months ago. I went outside to turn on the fridge as I need some extra fridge space for something. The left door is not closing properly. DH took a look at it and said I have to raise the flap a bit to close the door. He feels it probably needs some adjusting. He tried undoing the screws on the flap, and moving it up, but was not successful. It is catching on the bottom.

Does anybody have any idea how to fix this? The manual does not address this issue. Do we have to adjust the whole door?

There have been many discussions about that problem. Remove left for, place a small washer on bottom hinge pin

We have a Res fridge that had the same issue. The manual did have some adjustment procedures and some additional hardware.
The doors swing on a short shaft. Had to lift the door slightly and place a spring washer on the bottom shaft so the door rested on it.
Maybe you can just remove the door (upper hinge) and place a regular washer on the shaft to elevate the door.

Hope this helps.

There is a set screw on the bottom of our RV fridge door that we occasionally have to turn a quarter turn to raise the door. Sometimes it takes a bit more of a turn. I just keep an eye on the flap and he turns the screw until it clears. Has not been a problem and is a lot easier than removing the door.

DH would like to see a picture of this screw so he knows where it is.

I ended up cutting notch in a washer and putting it between the bottom of the door and the hinge pivot pin

I tried taking a photo of the screw but it is in an awkward position. Anyhow, there is only one screw on the bottom of the left hand door. It is a flathead screw and takes one of those funky "z" shaped screw drivers to be able to turn it. It sounds a lot more difficult than it is and was easy to find.
