Oldest Montana?

Who has the oldest Montana on this board? Just curious to see who has the oldest and how it's holding up? The oldest I saw in the gallery was a 2000. It seems most folks have newer models including myself....can you tell the wife is out, the kids are asleep, and I have too much time to think about these things...

Me, "outnumbered" by three red heads...my dear wife

Hey Bruce; I('m sure we're not the oldest out there, but I havent seen any on the forum to match our "old lady" . we have a '98--2850RK and we love it!!!!!We wanted a short, 2-slide,in fiberglass, and there it was parked by the road with a forsale sign, and we got it!Our maiden trip was to the ARTIC CIRCLE and we had a ball!! I'm not saying we didnt have our number of problems, but we expected some, and I must say Keystone backed up some problems that were YEARS out of warranty. From the Artic circle to the depths of Mexico, this old lady has REALLY performed well for us. If we ever decide to retire her we will certainly get another Montana!!! welcome to a great montana family----------Dave Anderson

If I'm not mistaken they only came around 98 making Dave's one of the first and I am sure one of the oldest on the forum.

Well I guess ours may be the oldest in the gallery. I just went and looked and didn't notice any older. Glenn - GREAT job on these !!! Ours is a 2000 TT so you may not want to count it, but it does say "Montana" on the front and back (as well as "Mountaineer"). We purchased it used from an individual in 2002. It's been to Yellowstone +, Utah +, and South Dakota + on separate occasions as well as lots of closer destinations. We have had no real issues or problems - just the normal wear stuff. We have REALLY enjoyed it - moved up from a 23' TT with no slide so it was a real improvement for us.

Probably a typo, but it is 1998, not 1988.

Driftwoodgal; Yes, when I say total solar I mean we have 260 watts worth solar panels on top that, with our booster will at times generate up to 18 Amps per hour. This, coupled withgood batteries, and a 2000 watt inverter let us stay out in the desert at Quartzsite as long as we want.( the pumper truck will come by as needed! ) The key to solar is good batteries.
any questions ? I'll try to answer----Dave

We have a 2000 3255RL. Bought it previously enjoyed, have had it 2 years, and so far have not had any major problems with it. At show and tell in Minden someone asked if we had put new carpet in, that will give you an idea of the quality and how it is holding up.

Dave, I thought you were the original owner of your Montana. I guess since you aren't, so possibly we've owned a Montana longer than any other forum member. Ours was ordered and built in February of 1999 and delivered to us in March of 1999. Still a great unit!
