washer/dryer
Anyone have any experience with the washer/dryer combo unit. Sure looks like it would be handy giving space for shelves to place towels, etc., over the top of the unit. Realizing its only a 110v unit and does not have near the capacity of a residental unit but would be handy for 4-7 day trips.

We have the Splendide 2000 and have been using it for over 2 years
with no problems. The loads have to be small to keep it from
shaking the rig so much, but we have the time to do it that way.
We put shelves over it and have towels, etc stored there.
Works great. Travel safe.

Hi fwhitetail. We don't have the combo but wanted to say there are many, many people out there who do including a number on this forum who likely will speak up when they see your question. From the things I've heard the key is to get one that is vented to the outside. Supposedly those not vented to the outside take much longer to dry the clothes. Good luck.

First they are not "inside vented" they use a condenseing system that works very well. The thing that slows you up the most is that you can't wash and dry at the same time...same tub is used for both.
How do they work.... Great.
How big are they..... our LG takes 14 pounds
Do you use it a lot... haven't been in a camp ground laundry in 18 months

We have a Haier and love it. It works great, haven't had any problems with it and it does take quite a while to dry. But then again we have the Kenmore Elite Calypso washer and matching dryer at home and I think they take a VERY long time to wash and dry so what is the difference? LOL I like the fact that we have lots of room above it to store towels and stuff and it's in our rig, you don't have to keep worring about people taking your stuff out of the dryer at the washing center or people stealing it.

We have had our Splendide for 7 years and love it. As others have said it won't take a lot of clothes but it sure is convenient, set the washer and dryer and leave, when you come back it's all done.
