Hi Jack,
We unscrewed ours and turned it after the first trip. It did tip once, but no damage.
I put a couple of eye hooks under the table top and in the floor( by the end of the slide & by the end of the couch).
Used a couple of 30" bungy cords to tie it down. Never had it move again. Unhook the Bungy cords and turn the table when we use it. I leave the Eye hooks in the floor, too small to worry about.
