How long has it been

since you have seen this. Diesel was actually 2 cents less than regular gas a few days ago but I missed getting a picture of that.

The last time, I can remember, that diesel was actually less than gasoline was around 2007 or 2008. That was the year I purchased my first diesel truck. Fuel prices for diesel were always less than gas, so I had no concerns about purchasing a diesel truck.

Exactly one week after getting my first diesel truck, Diesel prices spiked and went higher than gasoline. I was mortified when that happened. I kept waiting for prices to come down below gas prices, but it's never come down less than gasoline since!

Bought my first diesel truck in 2004 and diesel had always been less than reg gas. But shortly after buying it reversed and diesel only sporadically dipped below gas. But soon went back above and never dropped below again.

Don’t come here, we filled up yesterday, $171 dollars worth at a place where the pump price was $4.999. Thank goodness for Open Roads, $123 and change. Tells me the pump price should be a lot less.

I think the last time I saw fuel cheaper than gas, gas was 24 cents and fuel was 19 cents and fuel oil was 14 cents and I made 1.35 cents. O the good old days.

Actually this was a bit of an anomaly. 3 or 4 weeks ago gas dipped below $3.00 for a few days. Then started rising. And during that same period diesel didn’t change up or down. So gas caught up to diesel and briefly passed it up.

Diesel in AZ (not Phoenix) and NM was cheaper than gas if my memory is right. And talk about fluctuation - Springerville on the edge of town a 76 station was 98 cents a gallon higher for diesel than a CircleK in town! How can that be explained????

Never seen that much difference. But 5-8 cents across the street or 10-15 cents across town is common around her. And for same brands.

i also live in az north of phoenix. our fuel prices here are one of the highest in the country, except for california. they blame the gas prices on the "special blend" mandated by the feds. my friend lives in sc . gas is $3.83 diesel is $3.13 checked on gas buddy we are getting ripped!

We filled up last week in Kernersville, NC, diesel: 3.16 / regular: 3.29 . I am searching for an auxiliary fuel tank now. Just can't let loose of the $800.00 yet.

Diesel prices

I can remember when the truckers went on strike across the United States in protest of diesel prices. It brought a lot of focus on the diesel prices. Diesel is supposed to be cheaper to process than the others. As someone said “Greed” and supply and demand. They know the demand is there so they keep prices high. The truckers could put a strangle hold on the country again because of the high price of diesel and maybe get something done. I guess everyone just accepts it now.

I just filled up an hour ago. $2.92 per gallon for diesel. Regular gas was $3.14. Nearby Open Roads price is $3.01 before commission, etc.
Central Texas, WOOHOO. I can’t believe this price as we leave for northern climes (cooler weather) on Saturday.

I think we both bought our first Diesel trucks the same week.

Out here in the Sticks of Western New York, Diesel $4.959 Reg Gas $3.659
I was thrilled using my TSD card at the Local T/A, went from the $4.959 down to $3.076
who says the TSD Card isn't worth it. On the way North last week got $200 worth of Diesel and only ended up pay $106 and change.

It all depends on how much the local government taxes diesel vs regular.
