Sylvania Tv
I have a 2009 3400 Monty with a Sylvania Tv, it's hard to say when this all happened, maybe it was gradual, but my picture is really bad. I tried going into set up and changing things there and then going back to the factory settings and no improvement. Anyone else having these problems. Thank You

While I don't dispute you have a bad picture, can you describe with the picture is doing? Black on the sides, snowy, blurry, scanning up and down, some kind of descriptions.
The menu setup only works when the picture is correct. If there is something wrong with the television even after setting up the defaults, it seems to me the television or the signal are bad. Is it Glass or Flat screen? Do any other televisions work? Is there some way to check the wires to that television are not bad?
Since it's only been a year, do you have a warranty? Can you get back to your dealer and have them check things?
Keep us posted what you find. The typical television problems are signal or bad tele. That's pretty much it.

Is the problem on both TV's or just one? If the problem is just on one TV run a known good coax from where the good tv hook up to the bad TV. If the problem clears it is inside that piece of RV wiring/connector. If it is both a pretty easy thing to check is the coax connectors. There have been numerous reports of these going bad. If you are hooked to cable, run a good piece of coax from the cable hookup direct to the TV. If you are running off your antenae do the same with a known good piece of coax. You will have to get on the roof but hook the good piece of coax right to the antenae then run it direct to the TV. If the picture is good the problem is not your TV but rather the wiring/connectors inside the RV. Hope this helps and let us know what you find. Jim

My original tv (2007) died and I called my dealer. I told him I would rather have a refund than get another cheap TV. I got a decent refund and put in a 26" flat panel Panasonic.

Note of caution, 99% of all RV antennas have a built in amp in the antenna head. If yours is the norm you will not get any signal connecting directly to the antenna. Like mentioned above, you need to isolate if all lines are affected or only the main TV. Good luck.

mhs4771, You are right. My bad. I forgot about the amplifier. Guess I'd run from the antenae head to the amplifier to help sectionalize where the trouble is.
