Couer d'Alene ID
We arrived here today after traveling through beautiful, beautiful country. So much land this country has. The drive along the Columbia River was so awesome. We are in a small campground (PA) on the east side of Couer d'Alene. We are getting our local LA channels on Direct TV and we are a lot further than 500 from LA. We will be here for a couple of days visiting with our daughter who lives on a ranch up here. Then we are heading for Flathead Lake in Montana.
Happy trails..........................

It really is a beautiful area. If you get a chance to try the Wolf Lodge Steak House (12025 E. Frontage Rd 664-6665) I don't think you'd be disappointed..

Sue: Your "local" channels are really national channels. New York, Atlanta, LA and a couple of others are choices for national coverage. Now if your local channels were Reno, you would not be getting them.

Sue, when you get to the Flathead where are you going to stay? I am about 20 minutes from Flathead Lake. I can give you some places to go and see. There is a great Grizzly Habitat here that is so wonderful, I know you would love it. Let me know...Kathi

Sharon, I know the LA stations on the "West Coast" feed and they are up there on 381 or something. But we are getting 2,4,7 just like home. I thought we would get them on 381 etc. We are not getting the PBS stations from So. Calif. like we did in the Bay Area.
We are staying at the Eagle Nest RV Resort in Polson MT for a week. Kathi, we will let you know when we arrive - we are interested in the Habitat. Then we are going down to the Grizzly RV Park in West Yellowstone for a couple of days and then head home or ...........................I may run away.
Happy trails................

Just a suggestion but if you don't have any other arrangements in Polson, although it is pretty this time of year and my daughters friends museum is there and a must see, there is more to see up this way about 60 miles. That is how far I am from Polson. We have the Glacier Nat'l Park, the Grizzly Habitat, White Water Rafting (Not the hairy kind, Logan's Pass etc. All of which couldn't possibly be done in one day. Hope you have a safe trip.

Kathi
I wanted to stay in Polson or near there because that is where my brother-in-law is from and for the last 47 years I have heard so much about it. We plasn on taking some day trips and Glacier is on our list and now the habitat. We leave tomorrow. Eagle Nest has cable and WiFi and a lot of the other parks did not.
Happy trails.......................

Polson is a great place and beautiful right now. We were just through there when we went to see Paul down in Butte. He is here in Columbia Falls now so we probably won't be down that way unless we want to go to the museum again. You can't miss that. The owners Gil and Joanne have been collecting that stuff for over 60 years. Great stuff. It is a huge place. He was featured in the Trailer Life a couple of years back. They are really nice people on top of that. Have a great trip from Idaho and hope to touch base with you when you get here. Kathi
