extension cord extention inside?

when i'm set up in cold and only have 30Amps at pedistal, i slide a extention cord through a slideout gasket to plug in a extera 15Amp electric heater usind a outlet om the pedistal, so i can cheep put and not use as much propane. does anyone have a elegant idea that would let me have a exterior male outlet to interior female hookup for 110V?

I also use the 15 amp extra plug when the camp ground allows that use. What I have done is to replace the receptacle in the rear of my camper. I replace it with a good brand name 15 amp one and wired the bottom outlet to the camper and the top is now wired with a short pig tail that can be dropped and then another cord can run to the CG 15 amp receptacle. When the pig tail is not used it is stored in and over the tin that wraps the lower frame. There is a joining clip on the receptacle that must be removed!

On most 30 Amp pedestal, the 20 Amp convenience outlet is wired to the 30 Amp breaker

When we were out in Tonopah, it really came in handy, saved a bunch of Bucks.
Yep, it was loaded with cooked bacon slices, bacon bits and packaged bacon. It is amazing how little electricity they use.

These may work in some older parks with older wiring. But in parks where the 20 amp outlet is a GFCI they will not work. Not sure when GFCI became a requirement but seems most I see are definitely GFCI outlets.
Many older parks have probably updated their outlets to avoid any potential liability issues.

I made the same as OZZ, but I actually took the angled piece(where the water fill is coming thru) off and cut an opening in it for the receipt and then ran the wire out the side.

is there such a thing as a male 110V receptical or did you modify a xcord with e2 male ends

You can buy an 110 Volt inlet box but don't make a cord with two male ends. It's dangerous and even illegal to own in some states.

This is the plug that I have used on two campers.......I put it in the rear cap and installed a rv receptacle like the manufacturers in the rear wall. Works great! BTW, it also comes in white. Just keep searching for it.

Here is how I did mone I put in a sub pannel in the basement,

I ran 2, 15 amp brakers each braker will handle 1 heater one in the bedroom and one in the dinning room.

My power cord is a leftover cord I had and I plug it into the 30 amp plug and ues a 50 amp pigtail to a 30 amp for th Monty

The key word here is "cheater" box. Some of these are frowned upon by CG owners.

The "cheater" boxes may work ok in older non-GFCI equipped electrical systems, but if the pedestal has a GFCI plug it will kick out with the cheater box. I have one and this has been the case on every GFCI equipped pedestal that I have tried to use the box on. This season I will sell it the rally yard sale.
