Refrigerator not working on AC

For those of you have posted that your refrigerator works on propane but not on AC, well, it happened to us. Our wire to the refrigerator was worn through by the slide adjustment bolt but did not trip the breaker. You can see where the arcing caused a melting of part of one of the bolt threads. And, you can see where the wire to the microwave was going in the same direction...

Wow, I've been under my slides a few times just to check on things and this is one of the things I check (routing of the wires, hoses and those infernal cable supports that used to crack until I corrected that problem with hinges - thanks MOC). I hope I never find what you did, but I haven't checked in a while so tomorrow, it's time!

How are you gonna fix that?

I used butt connectors and then wrapped a bunch of black tape around each cable. I re-routed the wires so that they don't rub on anything sharp and all is well at the moment. Actually made the repair in a Sam's Club parking lot in Ohio, so wasn't so bad - good to have tools and materials on hand.

The bolt is a problem indeed, I posted this picture a few years ago, should have revisited it.
Thanks for sharing it Michael, sorry it happened. Good troubleshooting!
