We have this rack on our 2013 295rkd and love it. Rides solid tried ladder rack and hitch mount bikes flopped all over drove me nuts. Have driven 10,000 miles with this one no damage to bikes easy to load and unload plus it was very inexpensive.

Bill, This is what I did. I mount bikes in the back of my short bed Chevy truck between window and hitch. I bought some devices that secure the bikes to a piece of plywood. You can buy from a bike shop. You need to take the front wheel off of bike and I also loosen handlebars and rotate the bars toward the front of truck for more clearance. I put the front wheels in the basement of Monte. This has worked well for us. See photos.

Dandy idea Russ.. Won't work for the recumbent trike.. but would work jess fine w/ the regular bikes
