perfect here in Central Florida. We had the Meade 4.5 inch Equatorial Reflecting telescope out and drew a big crowd and many oohhs and awhwss. Many of the small kids here had never seen such a sight and were fasinated by the craters on the moon.

Awesome tail photo. We are in Niland, Salton Sea area and had perfect clear skiesand great viewing. It sure was pretty. Wish I had a telescope for moments like those last night.

Thanks for the great shots of the eclipse, John. Two of my grandchildren were "camping" with me that night, and we had a wonderful view of it up here in Big Sky country. I can't wait to show them your photos. I later asked my 6-year-old granddaughter how she liked the eclipse, and she said, "Actually, Honey, I liked the first part best--the part when it just started clipping." Straight from the mouth of a prissy little 6-year-old! Carolyn
My "clipping" girl.
