That Bright light in the sky......
Well, now I know how Noah felt, after being tossed around with rain every day, no Sun just wind and rain.
As I stumbled down the stairs this morning, I looked at the beautiful Blue sky with Cotton Candy clouds drifting along. The Sun started to shine on the Palm trees, Sea Gulls voicing their pleasure with not only tearing the trash bags apart, but the warmth they haven't experienced for the last 2 weeks here on South Padre Island. All this new found beauty is being interrupted, like a phonograph stylus ripping cross the record, watching a passerby's dog dumping in the rocks next to my window. Can't these people read the signs to the dog run? I wonder how he would like it if I would....oh never mind.
Sue had better have bail money handy, if someone doesn't clean up.
I will have to take the garden hose out there now.
Don't feel like writing any more.

Ozz...we were in Corpus a couple of years ago, same time-frame, and experienced much of what you have been seeing....fog, rain, wind...then, more wind mixed with more rain. I saw that you were going to that area and was hoping that our experience was just an anomaly. Unfortunately, seems like it is "the way it is" down there in Jan/Feb..
Enjoy the sunshine while you can..

Find out where the dog is staying and leave a present on their steps.
Maybe they'll get the message.

Yes we did. In fact some have even cranked up the furnace. We have been using the small electric heater in the bedroom just to take the chill off. It's supposed to be in the 70s for the weekend and back to the high 50s on Monday BUT NO SNOW.
OZZ, Your quandry brings back memories of Halloween, brown paper bags, the neighbors front steps, a match and a knock on their door if ya know what I mean. If your fast enough you won't get caught and Sue will never be the wiser.

Ozz,
I tend to believe you are right. My luck is no different than when I was a kid and got caught in the apple tree, red apple handed. Coarse I would do what I have been doing in every park. Just clean up after my dogs AND everyone else's too. There is a big difference between a land mine and a 22 shell. Mine produce land mines and I can't afford to hurt anyone!
Now I did hear one time while outside putsing the neighbor say, "Hey I am sure happy that you are going home to get a bag and pick that up. Hate for anyone to step in it!" Sure enough they returned and cleaned it up. A little asertive tact can go a long way.......

Didn't see any doggie dodo when I was there. Did see water pouring out of the bottom of a motor home on the way out. Looked very ugly. Dan

Ozz, you are one silver tongued devil. I am trying to sell my house and the neighbors have a yapper that does that in front of my place. Great for curb appeal. I had had it so I watched and when it squatted I ran out and gave the lady a plastic baggie, she looked surprised but she got the hint...No probls since, Of course, house still for sale also. Maybe if I had left well enough alone I might have sold to an animal lover......lol

A "pet" peave of mine as well. Once stopped a neighbor whose dog was making a deposit next to our mail box. Her reply was that was where her dog liked to go. I said don't do it again it made it difficult for us to get our mail. Go figure!
We have an attachment on our dogs lead that contains bags, so when we can't get to the dog walk fast enough at least we can at least clean up after her. These bags can be purchased anywhere (pet smart, target etc...)

My "pet peeve" as well. We have 3 dogs and always pick up after them, but see so many who don't bother.
I have a "pooper scooper" with bags and a plastic clam shell like grabber so I don't even have to touch it through the bag.
Ozz - you need to do it or tell the park owners the people are not picking up after their dog - most parks require that you do.
As a work camper in an RV Park we have the right to get on peoples case (nicely) if they don't mind the rules.
