I have always sprayed the seals with 303 and have never had to replace a seal, nor have one deform or harden. May be over maintaining, but figure it can't hurt.

slides

I agree with using 303 Protectant. I also use it on the rubber gaskets around the windows.

Our rig was new when we purchased it, but was about a year old when we did. I assume it had the slides out most of the time it was on the dealer's lot, south of Fresno, CA. About a year ago, the horizontal bulb seals as well as the horizontal flap seals, so all the top seals of the slides had to be replaced due to rotting and getting soft and sticky. I was able to get new seals from Trekwood. I had applied rubber seal treatment a couple times a year, so I don't know why they rotted, except they had a lot of exposure to intense sun for a lot of their life. Don't know how often I would have needed to apply 303 or anything else to prevent the damage. Fortunately, the replacement was not difficult.

The purchase of our 2017 in June sat on a lot in FL for a long time as well. Surprised at find so little to even mumble about so far. Have pulled it about 5000 miles so far......

My SOB had severe seal damage on the tops of the south (sun side) slides, was told it was from UV damage. I have slide covers on this one, and use protectant

Google it. It will be shipped to your door. I all ready had a normal size spray bottle of it and just received the gallon jug I ordered. Not cheap, but I am set for awhile.

Just a word of caution. 303 is as slippery as snot on a door knob. So do not use it on things you are going to step on.

Yes it is slippery, however you are supposed to wipe it on and then rub it in with a dry towel removing a lot of the slip factor. Works great on tires/ truck bed covers. I did the whole roof of my previous camper. If you do not wipe it off after applying it, it will leave run marks.

303 seems to be the lubricate of choice . We have never lubricated our slide seals or used anything on them both on our 06 3400 and this 13 3402. We are long timer and our slides are out and exposed to whatever weather we are in 98% of the time. We have not had a problem with them at all. Just our experience.
