What spare parts do you carry

I would like to start alist of what fulltimers carry for spare parts or emergency repair gear. I would think this would be valuable list by all.

That list is going to in some degree reflect the problems you may have already had. Light bulbs, fuses, water parts, waste water parts and electric hook up items would probably be on most lists. Something to make an emergency roof repair, a number of sizes of wire ties for whatever, and probably some extra wire.

I agree this list is going to reflect repairs already made. We have been travling full time for over two years. I have not added my list as i am still putting it together. But some who have been doing this longer than have great ideas on what to keep in there tool box.

I carry fuses, tape, large collection of screws and bolts, splicing kit, roof tape, and a 20Ton Bottle Jack. I carry what I think I need to be able to fix anything that is a showstopper emergency. I have found I can get any other parts needed while on the road, either at a rv dealership or on-line to be delivered at my next stop. For example, bulbs at any walmart or auto supply; when I hit a boulder and badly bent my steps on the way to Nashville, Camping World there had replacement steps waiting for me the next day. What I focus on is carrying a complete set of every tool I might need, which causes my wife to say I am taking up more than my fair share of storage space.

Be sure to carry spare shear pins/bolts for the slideouts and the landing gear, if you still have the electric motor and basement shaft.

X2 on the tools (four tool boxes and the one in the truck). Been lucky on Joyce's opinion in that on our major trips so far the showstopper emergency always seemed to required a tool that even the shop at the park didn't have, but I did.

You can bet that in some (many?) cases the part you need will be the one you do not have! Does not mean you should not attempt to stock parts that are hard to find while out on the road...like those listed above by other members.

I have had a simple rule with my 2005 Montana, anytime I have had to replace a part I buy two, one for the fix and one for a spare. I figure if it broke it may do it again. Never failed me yet!
