Heat Ducts

I have a three part question, I have a 2010 3605RL:

#1) I do not camp in temperatures below freezing so I would like to block off the duct going to the passthrough area so that more heat will be directed into the fifth wheel, is it OK to pop off the vent cover and put a piece of foil insulation in it, blocking it off and then put the vent cover back on.

#2) The round vent in the bath room is very noisy when the heat is on, has like air echoing through a tunnel, what can I do to quiet it down.

#3) Do they mak dampers for the round heat vents ( like in the bath room and passthrough ) so that I may cut down the heat flow without actually pulling the vent off and blocking it ?

I dislike the bathroom heat vent noise as well.

Not understanding what you are calling the passthrough area. I removed the small duct in the basement and sealed it because I too do not camp in freezing weather.

Good questions. I want to know too. I have plugged the toilet heat duct. Too noisy and adds too much heat to the bed room.
I want to plug the heat duct to the basement/holding tanks. Seems like it would help me reduce propane consumption as long as I don't camp in below 32 degree weather.

Yes, the duct I am refering to is in the outside accessible compartment where the TV hookup is, I guess they call that the basement Is there another one for the holding tanks ?? If so, where would that one be, would like to conserve the heat for the main living areas Thanks everyone !

By conserving the heat for the living area you will also have cold floors by doing what you are talking about.

If you remove the cover to gain access to your heater (mines under the fridge), you'll see dampners in a couple of the vents already right at the plenum. My bathroom vent had a dampner there ... I opened it up just a little and the howling went away ... I guess you could close it off as well.

One thought, don't close off too many vents, as this will cause the high limit to trip, it needs all the airflow it can get, within reason..

I accessed the furnace area from the passthrough area and found out that there are 3 ducts that come off the furnace, one 5" duct which feeds into the main plenum for all of the floor registers and two 2" ducts, one of which goes down into the holding tank area to keep them from freezing and the other which feeds up to the bathroom vent. None of these had dampers on them. I figured out that the noise that is being made is a howl, kind of like taking a 2" hose and spinning it in circles real fast, like a kids toy I have seen. Not really sure how to correct this, but talking with the tech guys at our local Camping World, they told me the same thing as OZZ mentioned with the high limit tripping if I close off too many ducts. If anyone has a sugestion, I would appreciate it. Does anyone know if the hose that is stuffed down into the holding tank are is connected to anything in that hole or if it is just stuffed down there and is it just keeping the holding tank area warm or is it warming the whole underbelly. I added a ABS fitting and cap to the holding tank duct and can close off the duct when we are not camping in freezing weather.
