As all MOC members should know by now you are welcome to post pretty much as you want. But we do not tolerate FLAMEs! FT Army just joined and may think this Forum is like some others out there. Until such time as FT Army understands we do not allow the kinds of posts he was making his account has been locked.
He has moved on to another brand of RV so hopefully he'll be happy.
We do not get much of his type of posting so it may be hard for us to understand. But please do not fall into his "trap". Ignore him and notify Admin. Thank you.

We will be ordering a 06 3400Rl in a couple of weeks,We have done a lot of research on many different brands of Fifth wheels. We understand that there is a good chance that we will have some issues with the Montana.One just has to read this forum to realize that.Read the rvnet open roads forum and you will note that ALL brands have similar problems.Montana is just as bad or good as the rest of them. That is not a excuse for Montana but rather a statement on the Rv industry as a whole. The probabilities that MR FT army will have similar issues with his new unit are the same. Keystone Montana DOES do better than other Manufactures in standing behind the product. One has only to read this forum to understand that.That is ONE of the primary reasons that we are purchasing the Montana over a couple of other brands.We understand what we are doing and will live with the decision.

As soon as you can, get an appointment at an axle shop to get your trailer axles checked and aligned if needed. I did not and after 10000 miles, my tires were worn out. I did get my axles corrected and new tires installed. so far it is fine now. Montana did send me $400 toward the new tires, but did not pay for the axle alignment or admit that there was a problem.
It takes a while to figure out what is wrong with any new rig, but there will be something for sure! Hopefully, you will not have too many things wrong. We have had good luck so far after 3 years and most of the items that i have found defective, i fixed my self. Look everything over real good!

Well we are purchasing a 3400Rl in two weeks.We think it is a very good unit.Any problem you may have large or small has been reported on this forum as well as the fix. The axle alignment post above is good advise as well as wheel balancing. They are both on my list/Someone posted a way back about how to check for axle alignment by measuring the distance between the wheels on both sides of the camper.We will have the wheels balanced by the dealer before delivery and do a check on axle alignment before we take delivery.There are many possible problem areas that we have learned about on this forum and all of them will be checked out while the camper is still on the dealers lot..this is s great learning forum for the new Montana Buyer.

We just purchesed new 2955RL in December,2005 have made a few close trips ( we live in north Louisiana ) just wanted to know about cold weather camping any tips.

Welcome to the forum. You will find several posts discussing winter camping. He here is a recent one:

Use the search function at the top of the page for more.
A couple that come to mind are, use the furnace to heat the coach as this will keep the water tanks heated above freezing and be sure to disconnect from water if the temps will be below freezing. Also, don't leave sewer valves opened to a sewer hose as this can make for a rather ugly popsickle in the sewer hose.

We just purchased a 3475RL because my wife likes all the cupboards and having a washer in the kitchen, not tucked away in a corner she would have difficulty getting to. We looked at many of them, both Montana and Cedar Creek. Take a look at the 3475RL - lots of storage.

Gota go with Vicki. We have the 3280rl and love it. on the road we can access the reefer and pantry, cuz we got rid of 2 chairs and turned the table sideways. Works great!!!!

After about 3 months of looking and more looking at RV's, till I was sick of seeing them, we decided to purchase a new 2006 Montana 3295rk unit. We have recently visited the Tulsa, OK Rv show. This was the right time for us to by an RV. I never saw deals like what we saw at that show, and we have been to several of them. We almost settled on a Cedar Creek last month. Now I am realy glad that we waited. After reading alot of these forums, I feel like we made the right decision for FTers. I wish I would've found out about this forum before. This forum could've easily answered all of my first time rving questions. Learning all of the tricks and tips of RVing is definatley different then throwing up a tent. We'll see everyone on the road after 3-10-06.

Thanks for the welcome. We do hope to enjoy the Monty. We still have a few things to learn with RV. I imagine 5 outings and we should know what we will be needing. The dealer, ha,ha they try to sell you all of these things that they say you need. I know how sales associates work, for money and not in the customers best interest. See everyone later.
