On the Go, used for 7 years then referished by dealer removing the top screw lid and installing a fixed top and carbon filter on the inlet side. To regen, remove carbon filter, insert piece of 3/4" PVC pipe and add rock salt around it to full. After regen, remove 3/4" pipe and add carbon filter. Sediment filter is in convenience center. Softner and carbon filter are mounted to front bulkhead in garage. Change hoses and washers every 2 years to avoid leaks. Great soft water.

On the Go for us.

I cut two pass trough holes and use quick connect on all hoses. Allows me to lock it up when at my location.

I`ll research that UV light idea for bacteria control Might be a better idea than the filters, might be over doing it here but still better than a cranky wife while camping.

We went UV and filters. UV kills bacteria but filter remove sediment as well as nuked bacteria bodies.

We have the Rv Pro 10,000. DW loves it and its easy to regenerate. Takes salt and 20 min. Have portable to give us more room underneath, but it would be easy to mount inside if you wanted to.
