New Steps?
OK, after dragging my 2955's rear entry steps thru things I shouldn't have for 7 years, I now need to get a new set. Where is a good source?
CW doesn't seem to have any 3 step manual types available. A big RV catalog I have seems weak on 3 step non-electric version options as well.

I put a 2step on ours and use a portable step. I bought both from CW before Ozz had his parts store.

Is that 2 step enough shorter to eliminate some of the dragging issues?
Don't know that the XYL will like the extra stool though.....................

I'd go with Ozz, but if he doesn't have it, we bought our's from Lippert (before Ozz went in the parts business). They have better than original quality steps available.

If you would come to the CPRR Rally in Pine Grove NE, we have a 3 step we only used for about 6 mo. If you come to the Rally, you can have it, FREE.

That a way Larry! Keep that promotion going!
I'd take mine off if that helped but then how would I get into mine? You're not that far from us and Larry can verify we have a good time at the Central Plain Regional Rally and what a better way to have fun than to get a free set of steps!
If you're interested in how to register for the CPRR just go to MOC Regional Camping Clubs; North American MOC/Central Plains Region; and click on the initial announcement posted by me! Let us know if you're coming so we can put you on the attendee list! Then you can pick up a FREE set of steps as a souvenir of the Rally!
Isn't it shameful how we promote the Central Plains Regional Rally?!?

Larry...........if I came I'd want to leave with your truck too.
So OZZ: Which steps do I want? 550090, 550096, or 550099?

I put either 96 or 99 on my Monte, depends on which rise you want, it looks like the 99 have a closer to the ground feature.
Sue is going out to measure.

I bought the Strongberg Carlson 7" rise, we like them and have found the ground clearance good. #55096

The Wizard of Ozz.
Thanks for all your help Sue! You have PayPal. Fun doing biz with a fellow MOCer instead of someone unknown.
New steps will be nice. Reapired the old ones too many times. Debby will be a happy camper too.

Ozz 'n Sue:
The steps are great! Nicer than the originals. Easy to replace but I had to retweak the mounts a bit due to abuse (you know who) to fit the new ones right. Thanks for the surprise bonus as well. Now I have another "to do" as I had to replace one of those bolts in landing gear a while back, and I never thought about it having been a shear bolt. DUH!
Thanks again!

Another vote for the two step replacement. I was dragging my three step system on the 2955. I got the Stromberg two step and us a portable step for the the first one. Have not had a dragging issue since the change. I did have to add a spacer to make the two step system fit in the existing attach points.

You are welcome, the step change is not too bad if you don't have damage to the mounting.
Surprise bonus' are always fun!
