Look at the 2010 Dodge 3500

Chrysler had planned to bring back a true crew cab with the long bed this coming year (I say had because other than the video, nothing else still shows it being available). They used to make one back in the day when they also made the US GOV't vehicles and a year after they lost that contract to GMC as I recall, they stopped the civilian version of the CC/Long Bed as well. Now all that said, I just called the local Dodge dealer and he told me that the CC/Long Bed is still in the 2010 website for dealers so..... although he has not ordered any yet.


On edit: Just checked my email and I just received an 'flyer' from Dodge.com and they have a link to the the 2010 crew cab!!

Phil, that Dodge shortbed is 2 inches shorter than Chevy and 3 or 4 (forgot which) shorter than Ford's. It concerned me, too, until I took a tape measure to it. The difference is aft of the axle and therefore does not impact a slider hitch. Cab to axle center is the same as on the Ford I traded in.

If I used the bed for hauling plywood panels or something like that, then it would have been to short for me. But for my purpose it's fine. And now with the superglide it's even better since I don't have to worry about turn radius.

And, to boot, I can open the front locker when hitched, which I understand is not possible on the newer Montanas with some longbed trucks.
