I would say your best recourse is to bring your ruler to where you want to buy one and start measuring. Every brand might have a different overall size, so pick your favorite brand and measure size. there are so many varibles, and a TV that someone recommends, may not be the brand or style you are looking for. My only suggestion is to get an extended warranty for it,due to all the bouncing and traveling.

Don and Judy,
Search on-line for what you may think you need as far as quality goes. Example: Sony, Panasonic, Sharp, etc. When you find one (most likely in the 26" LCD category) look at the "Dimensions," of the TV.
For Example, the 26" Sony Bravia S-Serices LCD dimensions are:
Dimensions
Height: 17.8" (19.8" on optional base)
Width: 25.8"
Depth: 3.8" (8.4" on optional base)
Weight: 24.3 lbs. (29.8 lbs. on optional base)
Also, remember that those are the outside dimensions and that 25.8 inch width may fit in your enclosure without blocking the screen part. It would also allow you to fasten it on the inside with a few clips.
But that was just an example. Search for one that has exact, or closer dimensions.
Editied: p.s. the size of the television screen is measured from diagonally (corner to corner) That is why the 26" Bravia is only 25.8 inches in overall width. There probably is a 1/2 or more inch extended from the screen edges to hold it in place.

With the brackets they make you probably could get a bit bigger one and mount it outside the frame.

Bill installed a 32" LG in ours.. He had to cut a little bit to get the right fit though and added four slides for easy access behind.. Then he put a false floor over them and I have tons of new storage ... He put snaps on the outside that are sorta hidden and snaps on two straps for when we are traveling.. The TV is on the outside of the opening and looks great.

Talking about TV's, has anyone installed a tilting bracket on an existing tv install. My new 08 has a 26 HDLCD and when sitting down in the chairs it is somewhat difficult to see the tv, it would be nice if I could tilt it down some.

You might try this (go to Target and measure). I bought the 32" version. I was looking specifically for one with a built-in front loading DVD and audio out connections for speakers. These are often in Target's sale catelogs

This is what we did. We went with a 32 inch LCD. It is wider than the hole but shorter vertically than the hole. We decided not to enlarge the hole to make it fit into the hole. With the fully articulating bracket it will slide back against the trim. I mounted web straps above and below, out of sight, that we can use to strap the tv in place. We used the black plastic snap connectors so there is no metal touching anything. So far it has not budged in about 500 towing miles. Today I am building fillers out of 1x2's to fill the gaps at the top and bottoms.
