Fantastik Fan round 2

Last year we had the problem, like many, with the dome sticking on opening. Called the factory and they sent a new redesigned seal and some 303 which resolved the problem. This year the problem has returned getting progressivly worse. I called today and spoke with their Tech. support and was informed that they are seeing problems with the "new" seal starting to stick and they have another redesigned "new" seal which they are sending me. Just an FYI if you are having this problem again. And once again "Fantastik" service. Sorry I couldn't help myself.

The funny part of this whole sticky seal thingy is I never installed my replacement seal. I have not had any sticking situation with my original seal since getting the replacement. So, "If It Ain't Broke Don't Fix It."

Do you have the phone number? Mine stuck and I just took off the screen and pushed it with the screw driver and the it opened. One thing you might try and I have not done it yet is coat the rubber seal with baby power. Baby power has NO petroleum products so there for won't deteriorate the rubber seal. This also works great on slide out seals and smells good also.

Bob, just fixed me up with a new seal for my fan as well. Nice to see a company that really stands behind their product.

Well our fantastic fan 100 days after delivery of our brand new 3400rl refused to open..it was stuck fast.Helen went up there and helped it to open and it was OK.She then doused it with baby powder. That seal is sticky..If it is known that it is sticky ..why do they keep installing the sticky seal????opps ..that was a dumb question..this is a RV vendor..why would they care..

Call them and they will send you a new and improved model of seal. For free. So I can look forward to the same problem with ours. Our current one has never stuck. Yet.

See another Montana or Mountaineer on the road? Flash lights twice, it might be one of us!

We did call them and they will send us a "new and improved seal" It is interesting..They make a new and improved seal..and after awhile it sticks..so they design a newer and more improved seal..and after awhile it sticks.. and so it goes.. Maybe they should sell glue...they are very nice folks tho..
