Fireplace wont shut off

Hi all, last weekend ran the fireplace to warm the 5er overnight, in the morning turned it off, but heater and fan continue to run. Happened twice, I have to trip the breaker and wait 5-10 minutes to get to shut off. User manual doesn’t have any info on how to fix. Any ideas? 2016 3911FB if that helps, dont have fireplace model info.

To sure of your brand/model fireplace... look at link to see the ones listed for 2016....

Most likely a new control board will solve your problem. Way less than cost of replacement fireplace

My fireplace will turn 'off' (lights will go off) but the fan will continue to blow for a bit.
Think it 'needs' to dissipate the heat to some level before it shuts the fan off.
another wonderful safety feature!

I agree with this. Mine takes about 30 seconds to shut down. Try it again and give it a chance to shut off instead of just throwing parts ($) at it like a control board. Not likely the control board is bad.

How long does it continue to run without tripping the breaker. I think Dave and Ron are right. just needs to cool off
