Any good recommendations for a washer/dryer in Monty?
I believe that some don't care for the unvented dryer.

I'm waiting to hear from my dealer this week if Keystone will put in a 220V system in my wash room so I can get the Whirlpool washer/dryer.
I know OZZ did his own wiring. But I will leave that to the experts.

If not, I will go with the Kenmore stackables.They are going to put in the vent for me. Cut the hole and all that stuff

We are in the process if buying the splendide 2100, which is vented. We did not want to give up all the space in the W/D closet (3400) with the stackable units although I believe they are more efficient than the Splendide. My only problem right now is installing the vent..I am not sure where to drill the hole..

We have the Splendide 2100 in our 3400 and the vent is down low at the back of the washer venting outside. Our Dealer installed it. Diana

I love the splendide! I have the ventless model and have been really happy with it. Yes, it does take a little longer, but the clothes come out so clean and what I call "humid". I lay them flat on the bed, and 20 minutes later they have aired out to the point that they are ready to be folded and put away. Best part: No wrinkles, so no ironing!

We have the Bendix (Splendide) ventless w/d and are happy with it. Don't try to overload it and it works fine. If I were purchasing one for a new fifth wheel I would probably get a vented model, but this one was free if I would help the guy take it out of his motorhome. It worked perfectly in the space I had available when I remodeled the entertainment area and installed a LCD TV. Here's a link to that modification if you're interested.

Wow Lamar! That was quite a project but it looks great! What planning that must have taken, as well as imagination.

How did you match the wood?
Are ventless dryers ventable if you want to install one?

Rich, anywhere in the 3400RL closet is fair game, the wall is clear of obstructions.
Put a downward slope on the top-outside vent pipe, (Loop it up and down a little) so the condensate will drain out, not down the pipe. Yes that is imporntant.
If you look at the outside of the trailer when covered with dew, you can see the wall supports.
Blue, any electrician can do the 220 for you, it is so nice to have the high heat on dry, not necessary, as addressed, but we like it.

Check out the Sears Maytag's, we have them and love them.
I think Lowe's and Home Despot as well.

We have the Splendide vented model; installed by our Dealer. Absolutely love it!!! Course you have to do about six loads compared to three in the larger laundromat models and it takes longer, but it has nice not having to use the local laundromats. We figure that at $1.25 per load at three loads washing and drying a week times 52 weeks, we will have the washer paid for by this time next year.

Thanks for the tip Ozz. I knew the wall was free of wires etc..did not know how to find the supports//Will try the dew method..We may be in Havasu before the 1st of Jan, We can leave home anytime after Thanksgiving just depends on how fast we can get everything in order here to leave.

We have the kenmore stackable but it looks like a all in one. Payed 800.00 at sears and works great.

I full-time and use my Washer/Dryer Combo every Saturday. I have a Majestic Vented Model and love it. The drum is 18" wide, and works great! Contrary to information I read on RV.NET before getting the combo, it is quiet and doesn't make a lot of noise. My unit is in the bedroom, and I have a tri-pod on the pin box and hardly get any movement when it is spinning. The dealer cut the hole and installed it and recommended not to get a non-vented model because of the humidity. I leave my doors to the washer/dryer closet closed and it vents wonderfully. The closet has a vent at the bottom and the top, so air flows through with no problem. I turn it on and go shopping or whatever I plan to do. I wouldn't be without it...especially now since it is cold here in Ohio. Allison

So Ozz what do you do if you don't have dew? We rarely do have dew. Actually Keystone told me anywhere on that outside wall of the w/d closet that you can see from the inside is okay.
Gary and Karen, we did the same calculation and figured we more than paid for our Splendide.

Blue, below are some pictures of the Kenmore washer/dryer that is installed in our 3400RL. You said the factory was going to install the vent for you. I just wanted to let you know that there is a hole in the side of the unit that the vent needs to align with. I hope they have that information. The unit works great,however if the unit did not come from the dealer with it already installed I would do what OZZ did. That is a better setup.

The non-vented units use a condenser to remove the water from the dryer and it is pumped out the water drain.

Explanation:
The clothes go through a spin cycle at 1200 RPMs that removes the majority of the water. Then, warm air is blown through the tumbling clothes. This warm air then circulates through a condensing coil that is being sprayed with a mist of cool water. The warm air is cooled as it goes through the coil which releases the water (condensation). The condensate is then pumped out the drain along with the water used for cooling the coil. The clothes come out of the dryer with just a hint of dampness which evaporates very quickly. This alllows you to shake the clothes out to remove any wrinkles before folding or hanging.

Thanks for the pics, I was wondering what it would look like installed.
I was sorta wondering if they needed to know what unit I wanted to install before they cut the hole. I'm sure they would have said something. I think the easiest thing for me to do is get a unit like yours and not worry about the 220.

Blue, the picture does not show it but the unit does not go to ceiling. You can add a shelf for storage above the unit.
