Cabinet Doors

Has anyone had trouble with cabinet doors coming off? We have a 2016 Montana High Country 305RL. After the first trip out one of the cabinet doors fell off and the cabinet facing where the hinge is screwed in is all bored out from vibration. We took it into the dealership and they discovered the door is cracked on the inside at the point of the locking clip. The dealership has ordered the new door but, keystone has sent the wrong one twice. Still under warranty with a 3.5 hour drive to the dealership of purchase. Not sure where to go from here. The dealership s trying again.

Have the same model as you. We have not had any problems with the cabinet doors yet. Have put @4000 miles on it so far. We found the shelf in the bedroom closet warped real bad. Will have to return to dealer for repair. 700 miles away.

There's some concern about all trailers and cabinet doors. I have repaired several cabinet doors that have come loose over time, with all the shaking that goes on while being towed. At this time, none of the doors that I have repaired have come loose, but that doesn't mean that will NOT happen. As for coming off, no problems like that, yet.

In fact, thanks for reminding me, I have another upper kitchen cabinet door to repair before getting on the road tomorrow.

So far it's been a piece of toothpick jammed into the existing hole, then reinserting the screw fastener. This will be my fourth or fifth repair like this. I try and take care of these quickly or as soon as I find a problem.

You might find lots of places where keystone did not pre-drill the hardwood used in the cabinets and this is a no no for hardwood which results in wallowed out screw holes, split wood, or twisted off screws. Just a real lack of professionalism on the assembly line. John
