truck driver by trade, drive a freightliner with a cummins but my personal ride to tow my 5th is a f350 with a v10 gas why?? all I have done in a 120k is a spark plug change and oil changes PERIOD! and still runs like a swiss watch, will you diesel guys pass me going up the pass? yes,get better gas mileage? yes, will your engine last longer? yes but the big extra cost of a diesel and maintinance just is not worth it over the long haul when my v10 does give up at 200k+ i will only spend about 2k to get a new one.Man did i open a can of worms!lets here it guys!

I just traded my old '06 GM D/A CC L/B dually for an '11 Chev D/A C/C S/B SRW which has a GVWR of 11,500lbs, that's 100lbs more than my old dually.
The 2011's weigh more, but the CCC sticker on both was within 70lbs of each other.
The '06 pulled Monty very well, but Terry didn't like driving it, and I told her if GM came out with a S/B SRW that would legally tow Monty here in BC, I would trade.

2011 GMC Sierra 3500HD Duramax/Allison CC DRW. Sold the 2003 Sierra 2500HD in January and then bought this beast. Love it with the exception of the poor mileage and the change to the rear seat fold down arrangement. Old truck had far more grocery and dog room in the back. But the difference in towing is night and day.

Upgraded 10 Oct 2011 from a 2011 Chevy 3500HD DRW's to a 2012 Chevy 3500HD DRW's. The new GM Trucks are the best GM has ever produced, 2011's were the big change HP, Torq and frame upgrade. The next body upgrade will come in 2013/2014 not sure on the year......
