Toilet trouble

I have a Sealand toilet in my 2010 34.5 Hickory edition. The toilet no longer holds water so sometime get odors. Is this repairable?

Sealands were good toilets and you should be able to get replacement parts for it. If you can't, just get the dometic 310 or 320 models. You will love them. John

I had the same problem with my Sealand after 3-4 years. Replaced the rubber seal around the ball. Had to disconnect water line, take the top section of the toilet off (remove or loosen metal band around middle area), remove the old seal, clean the area, install the new seal, and put top section back on. Old seal was not well centered and may have been the problem. So I made sure to center the new seal. Not a bad job. No problem since, and that was a number of years ago.

If it already has a new seal try and lubricate it with grease.. we had to work the pedal quite a bit before it would hold water and the ball valve close was off. Had to take it apart and put back together with some grease.. also apply grease under the seal too.. we had the same issue in our other camper. no problems so far
