My wife and I are kind of wrapping up an around the country vacation that started in Reno in June... We are now headed to Arizona and looking for some decent campgrounds... Maybe Tuscon for a month and then somewhere else for a month... Any suggestions?

Give a thought to Palm Creek Golf and RV Resort in Casa Grande. You won't be disappointed.............

We are currently in Rincon Country West and it is a nice park and currently has lots of empty spots, although not sure how many are reserved.

Took Ozz's advice on Tonopah and loved it. Great park and wonderful hiking in the area.

Stayed in Tucson back in 09, don't remember the park was basic. We also stayed in Tonopah a couple of times really liked it there.

Try Mission View Rv park. Nice location on Indian reservation. If noise bothers you it is close to airport. Can be noisy at times.

That's the place. Large lots, nice folks, big activity building, wood shop and more.

If you are retired military or DOD civilian you could try Davis-Montham AFB. They have a nice FamCamp but do not take reservations and you are limited to 21 days at a time. They do have some 3 or 4 month sites but you do not get a discount and no refund if you leave early.

I know this is an older post but I need more info on Saddle Mountain RV Park in Tonopah.
ie: Verizon signal strength, are the roads paved, is it windy, what did you enjoy the most there, etc.

Actually 2 winters, loved it.
The story behind it is that the park was built to house the workers building the Nuclear power plant about 5 miles away, spread out, large lots with paved streets, Pickelball courts, swimming pool; large, beautiful library and super large wood shop. It is unique because of why it was built and plenty of area to expand. Small crossroads nearby with a bar/restaurant fair food, down by the powerplant a great bar with great food. Other than my Ford truck and Montana glowing pink for a month after we left.. no complaints 25 miles from Walmart on the 10. Plenty of mountains to climb and dozens of Gold mines to explore, I know that area extremely well, I hid 200 Geocaches all around the area. I lost 20# hiking the mountains there.
We had Sprint and had spotty service, go 1/2 mile to the 10 and it was good, free wifi in the library. Wasn't too windy there at all.
Cheap as RV parks go.

Jim, don't forget to mention your run-in with the Goodyear police force where you almost made the list on America's Most Wanted when you describe the local area.

Yea, mumble mumble....
Goodyear Police hates snowbirds
I am buying a second plate for my truck so small town cops are happy, even though our state only requires one plate on the front of your 3/4 ton truck
Mumble mumble...
I want my $165.00 back...
