Generator twinning complete

Just finished the Modification, had to customize everything to make it fit the generator front. Fun project, I added a switch to kill the plug to second generator for safety, added a 30 amp. panel-mount breaker for twin gen output. I put on weather-proof plugs on cords, and weather-tight covers on all devices, with a rain-shield on the front of generator. Will do something like that for new second generator (Still in shipping box in living room..)

Nice work Ozz. I tried to order one on line from Tweetys.com, Camping World and Mayberry's. They all replied to say that the supplier "Ozz specialty fabrication inc" is ramping up production due to demand and hopes to be able to fill most orders by early next year. Can you verify this?

Nice.... All that sure looks pretty durable and looks like it would outlast the genny.

Are you also gonna make a long-term fuel system, too? That's what I wish I had. It's on the "list".

Art I have some simple plans for a set-up tank I'll see if I can find it.

My next project. I have the fuel tank, got a pretty good deal on it.
I want clean dis-connects, no spill connections. I really don't want to use the air chuck's, may be OK, but don't think so.
Dave, they won't pay the price I was asking, mentioned something about me dreaming or something...

Ozz, THAT's the part I wanna see and get a complete list for. I do have some information others have done, but haven't pursued it since I'm busy with other projects.

My problem versus what you have is that I have California versions of the generator gas caps (your pictures show mine are different than yours) and I don't know what that means to the parts list. Maybe I just shouldn't care about it, but I don't know enough about it yet. I would prefer to buy all new gas caps to modify and save the originals for the sake of saving them.

Keep them mods and pictures coming, Ozz. Thanks for the posts!

Okay, got a question for you guys, being I've never even looked at the Hondas. How do you phase the two generators when hooked up parallel?

Will, you start one, then when you start the other one, it synchronizes (when connected)

Art,
These are the caps I bought on Ebay:
HONDA Eu2000i GENERATOR EXTENDED RUN FUEL GAS CAP
FITS HONDA EU2000i EU20i EU1000i EU10i
HONDA Eu2000i Eu1000i GENERATOR EXTENDED RUN FUEL GAS CAP
Fits Honda Eu2000i and Eu1000i Generators
Features:
* Use this gas cap to extend the range of your generator with a external tank.
* Knurled for easy grip when opening or closing.
* CNC machined from a solid piece of HIGH QUALITY 6061 T6 ALUMINUM.
* The cap has a 1/4" female thread inside. Use a 1/4" brass male fitting with a hose barb that screws into the cap
* Made in the USA.
Now you want have to wake up in the middle of the night to add more fuel.

This auction is for 1 Extended Run Fuel Gas Cap (hose and fittings not included) for $29.95 plus $4.95 shipping in the United States and Canada
Item number: 150512742013

Fuel tanks aplenty: http://tinyurl.com/2ae789b
This is a nice set-up, don't know about the compatibility yet, I might try this. (Just the fuel line, I have my tank)

OK, here is a gold-mine of fittings and lines:
