Bedroom slide lube

Can one service the moving parts without removing the bed? Have developed a sqweek when moving the slide in.

Dick, lift the bed then unscrew and remove the plywood base. The mechanics are under that plywood.

Dick, in this thread there is a picture of what's under there.

Yesterday, while looking at mine, it appears that you have two sections of smaller square tubing that slide into larger square tubing. No rack and pinion gears like the bigger slides.

Mine is smooth and quiet but you might want to apply some silicone spray to those slides.

Thanks for the info. Went out propped up the bed, removed plywood, sprayed lube on square tube and all I accomplished was move the sqweak. Now it does it just at the start of out, before it was start of in. The h___ with it, let it be. Found no sharp edge as reported by Ozz. By the way Ozz when are you going to stop working us so hard? Only kidding.

The squeak may be coming from the rubber seals around the slide. Spray the silicone on the sides and bottom seals. It worked for me.

Dick,
I know, I feel like I have been in a prison work camp, all this work and no pay....I know it will all be worth it, things bother me that other people couldn't care less about sometimes, but I post my findings and if it helps anyone person on here, I am happy.
I was a machinist, repairing Nuke and conventional subs, machining new parts and fixing old parts, in the Navy, then went though a 5 year Pipefitter apprenticeship to be a HVAC serviceman, then after that, went to trade school to learn Electrical and refrigeration. Have owned Three HVAC and Electrical companies and have Been fixing things ever since.
I do know how to relax, just have to 'Get things right' first

Dick, there are wheels on the bottom of the bedframe. Do you suppose that's where your squeak is?
