Roof Cleaning

We got our Monty last year, I cleaned the roof a couple of times since then with Dawn. But after reading a few posts I went to Wally World and bought "Full Timers Choice" Rubber Roof Cleaner Conditioner. Also picked up a small scrub brush. I cannot believe how WHITE the roof is, it took about 1 1/2 bottles to do the 2955RL. I can't believe the stains came out with a little scrubbing. Tomorrow it gets a good coat of 303 Protectant. The Monty looks better than when I picked it up last year!

Happy Camping!

Sounds great Bob, I'll keep my eye open for that. I see you guys have the Spruce interior too.
We like this color more and more all the time. It did not start out as our first choice but it is now.

Thetfords roof cleaner also does a great job keeping the roof "white" and clean. I have found using a sponge and the cleaner straight out of the bottle really has a lasting effect.

I am about to get up on top of our 3400 and clean the roof. I use simple green and it seems to do a great job too. The Thetford does a great job. My only problem the closest place to get some is more that 125 miles from me. I try to get some from CW when we travel. Thanks for the information.

Has anyone tried the Awesome cleaner (the one from the dollar store) on the roof? We have yet to do anything to our exterior and we've had it 18 months. We haven't had the opportunity to use it much but I suppose it should be given a good wash and wax.

We have only had our 3075RL for a couple of months and I have not yet cleaned the roof. However, somewhere in my literature it said ONLY use Dicor products to clean the roof or it would void the warranty. So I have been in search of the Dicor products but haven't found them yet, CW didn't have it. I would be interested if anyone else considers this to be a problem.

I think the only way to void the roof warranty would be to use petroleum based products - that's definitely a no-no !!

gojodo,

Try www.dicor.com. I found the cleaner at the local Montana dealer, but need to order some of the protectant directly from the company.
