Montgomery AL

This year heading south (I-57, I-24, I-65, RT 231, I-10, I-75) we are trying a couple different CG's.

Found The Woods RV and stayed here last night. The location is great because it is on the south side of Montgomery and generally you are right on the beginning of Rt. 231.

Gravel site we are on is the longest I have ever been on, probably 150' or maybe longer. $29.00 isn't bad either. That was the only two good things.

Depressed neighborhood surrounds the park. The park is extremely run down with no concrete and very little gravel. Heard sirens before going to bed last night and sirens again when waking up this morning, so I can only assume either there are a ton of traffic accidents in the area or it is what it looks like, a high crime area.

This would be an okay overnight stop in the future I guess. We had this one scheduled along with a needed Walmart run. If we use this CG next year we will skip the Walmart run.

Could have been close to a fire station or ambulance dispatch point.

Didn't think about that, in that case it must be a neighborhood with too many fires and an above average number of people requiring emergency care.

I could be wrong again, but I don't think fire trucks and ambulances wait until just before arriving at their destination to start their sirens.
