Please welcome and HELP, new member

New member, jmill8, MOC-13434 asked this question on my rant thread about Good Sam, please help here. Thanks.

Does anyone have a cable TV wiring diagram for the 3295RK? Keystone sent a diagram but is not for the 3295RK. My cable at entertainment center is dead.

I don't have that diagram, but would offer this one word of advice. Check the cable connectors. Ours were loose and crappy. I've got most of them replaced now, with only one or two left to go. They were not the best and little care was taken to make sure they were tightened on our rig.

I agree with Dick. We had the exact same problem and it turned out to be the connectors. Cut off the old ones and installed new ones and all was good! Dennis

This link takes you to two images with earlier and then later wiring layouts. I do not think the model makes a difference but the year does. I can not remember when they quit making the 3295.

If your entertainment center is in a slideout you might check under the slideout when it is open. Jan and Paul Kelpe had a teli problem and we found a tear in the coax under the slide where it ran along the wiring guides. We cut the coax and added a two female end connector to connect the two ends and WALLA the teli was working again and is still working today! This is just another place to check besides the cable ends which are really cheap quality in our units.

Jmill8, this is a longshot but if the antenna booster (usually in the front closet) is turned on, it will essentially kill the cable tv signal since it uses the same circuit as the rooftop antenna.

H. John - Thanks for the diagram. Keystone must have changed wiring at some point. I have 03 3295RK, it has two black coax cables running through hole in back of entertainment center. Mine does not have, or I haven't found yet, DSL or Booster jacks as shown in diagram.

Hi

Keystone doesn’t have any production control on the installation of the entertainment wiring. The diagrams you now have are correct only in that the system looks like that on paper. I took me 3 years to find the Loop wire after Keystone said their build ticket indicated it wasn’t installed. When I found it was at floor level behind the fireplace.

I have now chased down the TV antenna wires on 5 RV’s using my “Fox & Hound” tester. None of them matched any of the information as to location provided by the manufacturer.

The electrical diagram is correct the location of the components will most likely will not be accurate.

Find yourself a friendly IT or Phone Technician and have him chase them down with a good quality “fox & Hound” tester.
