Safety concern
This was on my brand new 3400 but I would check it on all units...The concern is in the waste hose storage compartment. There are (in mine) three long metal screws protruding up from the bottom. I would never have noticed this but for checking for enough sewer hose for the rally and the hose I had stored in there was punctured by one of the screws...BUT that is not the safety issue. There is a long screw directly under the large grey power cable(the 50amp cable)In mine it was actually touching the bottom of the cable. In time with all the bouncing around that goes on back there a certain disaster would have occurred. We do not tolerate safety issues of any kind particularly those caused by poor workmanship. We will have a serious heart to heart with the Keystone folks at the rally, Those who have recently purchased 3400's please check this out..now...

I noticed those screws when I first bought the coach back in 2004. I installed wire caps on them, problem solved. The only thing in that compartment in my coach is all the sewer hose adapters. I keep the hoses in the carry tubes under my coach. Thanks for the heads up again Rich, I will have to go and check the caps on mine.

The issue was that the 50amp power cable came right through there and a screw was right under it...will show you at the rally..not a good thing...

I will look for it when doing my PDI.
(doubt they will do anything about it.)
I will probably do as Montana Sky has done.
Thanks Rich

Montana Sky's 3400 may be different than the newer ones. I am not sure the 50amp power inlet is in the same place. In my late 06 it is right to the rear of the hose storage compartment and runs right through it..

Rich,
I went out and looked tonight. I did not see the cord you mentioned, but then it is dark out so I could have missed it. Please remind me about this again when you get here. I do want to double check this...
