The issue was he said he bought from Keystone so expects Keystone to get him parts quickly. I said they do not stock replacement parts. They have to get them from their supplier. That is still true. Some things you have to go through dealer because they only available that way, like decals and door handles. But appliances and other things it is faster to go to the manufacturer of that appliance. Same as keystone has to do. For the window it would be best to go through the dealer because the size is what Keystone knows to replace. Or go to a glass dealer like someone said.

Thanks, Carol, and as usual you show practical wisdom and good spirit.

On our part, we are very relaxed about this whole matter. We have made some temporary repairs and will put in the new window when it arrives. We have no complaint. I don't think Keystone needs as much defense as is sometimes given here. We are really on the same side.

Now back to the original subject of this thread... To the Valley we say we are going! Unless something unforeseen happens, we will leave here on Sunday and arrive somewhere in the Valley by Wednesday of next week to stay 3 or 4 days. We look forward to meeting so many of the members of the forum whom we already consider to be friends.

Glad you've gotten things fixed enough to head south. I trust you've gotten enough rain that you're no longer in danger. Our son in Fort Worth said it rainned two inches on one weekend so that must have given their area some relief. We look forward to meeting both of you.

Thanks, Judy, and you are right about the rain. Most of the burning bans have been dropped up here in our corner of North East Texas. There is always some element of danger but nothing like it was a few weeks ago.

And, Carol, yes we have that information from the thread as you have indicated.

I've contacted a couple of RV parks in the area about overnight sites, but have not heard back.

David ... Steve and I are also looking forward to meeting you and Shirley ... and how great that you'll be here for the MOC lunch on Thursday! Harmon and Ruth (Roman4) are coming to the Valley this weekend, but unfortunately have to return home on Sunday. Hopefully, they'll be able to meet at least some of the MOCers currently in the RGV while they're here.

OK, we have our reservations now: we will be staying at the "Texas Trails RV Resort" which is north of Pharr. This is handy for us. Seems to be pretty well located for the luncheon on Thursday.

SO, Carol, count us in.

We also have friends staying at Alamo, so we will be between our two sets of friends. And we will have a 'head start' on our way back home.

And we have a new set of tires. We have had excellent service with the original tires, but decided that we would go ahead and replace the 4 year old tires since we are not likely to spend another 4 years in this model.

Looking forward to seeing so many of our online friends.

Dave, we have friends from Michigan that stay in Texas Trails, they enjoy it to no end! We have been there, nice park, great pool and huge jack rabbits!

See ya soon!

As Vicki said, we look forward to meeting you and the other MOC'ers coming down for the luncheon plus those already here that we've not yet met. (I promise we'll be on time this time!) We've already met quite a number we'd not met before and have renewed acquaintance with others. This is really a great group of people.

Northstar, that's a very nice park you are in. We've not stayed there but decided next time we go to San Antonio that will be our preferred park.

We are HERE! Arrived this morning (Wednesday) around 10:00. First disappointment: we were to meet friends for lunch; we got a call on the way that she was sick and they would not be able to meet us.

Disappointment number two: We do NOT have wifi in the RV. Have to come up to the "club house" to get internet connection or pay $40. For 3 nights, my Scot blood boils at the thought of paying $40. But it is very inconvenient to make the trip up to the club house to get online. Puts a dent in the 'surfing' and enjoyment of the forum, etc.

BUT, we are here and happy.
