Patio Lights

Wanted more light outside, but didn't want to have to set them up, tear them down, so went to two 18 watt flourescents.

We use rope lights 36' (2 strings) got a remote switch at wally world and don't have to go out in the cold to turn them off. Don't use the porch light any more.

Nice job Gruffy, I am looking at something simular, trying to do away with the fumbling in the door with no lights at night, thats another issue, we use rope lights also (wife likes the blue ones) but still have to deal with taking them down and setting them up, not a biggie, but still has to be done

For a little additional inside ambience and homey feeling, I lay a rope light (white or blue depending on the mood)on the top lip of the slide out. The rope can't be seen so it's nice soft "indirect" lighting.

Hey VanMan that is a cool idea. I will have to try it next time out.

Got tired of setting them up and tearing them down. Now I'm done until the stones knock them off for me. Best of all nothing to roll up and store.
