Sleep Number for part-time use???
We are looking at replacing our original king mattress with a queen Sleep Number. If we were full timing, I would not hesitate to do it as we have one in the house and love it. Question is for those who are not yet full timers...is there going to be a problem with it sitting through the seasons (hot and cold) in storage when not being used?
I would hate to drop that kind of $ on one only to have it not hold up due to the environment. We have been looking at good quality SOB mattresses, but our numbers are 80 and 35...hard to meet in the middle with those where we are both comfortable. It could be done but...
I am afraid of the temperpedic style for the weight as well as I get hot at night and I have read that they maintain their heat well.

I used one for several years, never had a problem as long as I remembered to unplug it.

I'm a recreational RVer ... till I quit punching the time clock, my fiver sits for a good 5 months out of the year. I fully realize the loyality of the Sleep Number crowd to their product. That being said, we bought a 3" memory foam mattress topper and sleep very well with money left over for gallons and gallons of diesel.

We have used Sleep Number for the past couple of years, part time. Just remember you will a source of power, if you ever just pull over and boondock, casino camp or what ever. I installed an inverter that easily handles the 60 watt compressor. Never an issue and the rig has gone from 133 to -10 degrees INSIDE while parked, that I know of.

We have had a Sleep Number in the S&B for several years now and our new queen Sleep Number for the High Country should be here on Monday. Can't wait.

We have had a Sleep Number in both of our trailers. We LOVE them! The trailer does not get used during the winter season (October - May) and we have not had any issues and we have had temps down to -40.

Thanks. Decided to get a new Sleep Number for the house and move the older one to the Monty. Thanks again for the information.
